Meditation & Mindfulness
Meditation and mindfulness are central aspects of yogic practice, and thus central aspects of life. Breathing is the fundamental mechanism through which we enliven and empower our physical body as well as the mind and energy systems. When we master our breath, we master our mind. When we master our mind, we master our life.
We teach Sattva Meditation, mindfulness and other breathwork techniques. Our teachings come from the source of these teachings, are robust, dynamic and direct.
Sattva Meditation is a pranayama and kriya based meditation technique stemming from the Himalayan Yog-Vedantic tradition. This is a comprehensive, simple and effective technique which consists of breathwork, kriya and mantra. When practiced everyday, it can benefit all aspects of life.
Mindfulness is the practice of focus, presence and developing deep awareness of the inner workings of the mind and body as well as the external environment. Yet it is just one component of a whole system of meditation and yogic practice that is integrated and holistic.
Contemplation and reflection creates clarity and productivity and this is greatly enabled and enhanced by meditation and mindfulness. Energy expansion techniques that are meditative also help to enliven our whole being, increasing vitality and our ability to hold our own space.
We offer meditation and mindfulness classes, workshops, retreats and full initiations into the basic and advanced meditation practices. We have classes at our studio and travel to work in organisations, corporations and communities.
